Karuna — feel the pain of others and do something about it.

| My understanding of Jesus is that he would have known the pain of the Palestinians and he would have put a stop to it if he could |
Matthew 11:28-30 (New Jerusalem Bible)
"Come to me, all you who labour and are overburdened, and I will give you rest. Shoulder my yoke and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Yes, my yoke is easy and my burden light."
Buddhists, Hindus, Seiks, Jews, Christians, Islamists, are all warring right now in our world. Shame on them all. They have forgotten what every one of their founders taught. Karuna is the way of life
The Good Samaritan:
(New Jerusalem Bible)
30 In answer Jesus said, 'A man was once on his way down from Jerusalem to Jericho and fell into the hands of bandits; they stripped him, beat him and then made off, leaving him half dead.31 Now a priest happened to be travelling down the same road, but when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side.
32 In the same way a Levite who came to the place saw him, and passed by on the other side.
33 But a Samaritan traveller who came on him was moved with compassion when he saw him.
34 He went up to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring oil and wine on them. He then lifted him onto his own mount and took him to an inn and looked after him.
35 Next day, he took out two denarii and handed them to the innkeeper and said, "Look after him, and on my way back I will make good any extra expense you have."
36 Which of these three, do you think, proved himself a neighbour to the man who fell into the bandits' hands?'
37 He replied, 'The one who showed pity towards him.' Jesus said to him, 'Go, and do the same yourself.'
The Samaritan
The Samaritan felt the pain of the man who had been worked over by the bandits. For those who are not familiar with the time and the place that this happened the Jews considered the Samaritans their enemies. They had destroyed the true faith. They were worse than infidels.
If you are in the IDF, or if you are an Israeli citizen, or one of thousands and thousands of people working throughout the world to keep Israel supplied with weapons of mass destruction and that's what an assault rifle on full automatic is, I have two questions for you:
Do you feel the pain of the Palestinians?
What are you gonna do about that pain?
I am not here to convert you. My role is not conversion, it is to make you think. Ideally you will take the truth I've been given to share and take it into your communities.
Synagogue, temple, mosque, church? It doesn't matter where your community is, what matters is that your community understands the reality of the world we live in and find ways to stop our headlong rush into hell.
My belief is that this can only be done one person at a time. However, I wouldn't object if you could prove me wrong.
