The transnational capitalist class doesn't hide ~ so they're not conspiring against us ~ they're just controlling us!

"Give me the child for the first seven years, and I will give you the man." — a saying long attributed to the Jesuits
Lately the news has been full of people, groups, organizations that are worried about AI. Most of them have a common thread; uncontrolled AI is going to take away our jobs, AI will let robots take our places, AI will take over the world and we will become nothing but slaves.
Where these concerned citizens err is not being concerned about the effect that AI will have on our world. Where they err is in not realizing that the transnational capitalist class doesn't want you, or your mate, or your partner to lose your job. If you do, you'll lose your ability to make them richer by buying their product.
What the transnational capital class wants is control of your children. They want to do what educators have done since there have been educators. They want to turn your children into good corporate citizens.
No, I'm not being paranoid. Ask any teacher or sociologists, and they will tell you exactly what I've just said; the first years of education are all about training the child to be a good citizen in the country they're being raised.
When it is the transnational capitalist class that is doing the educating they're not teaching your child to be a good Canadian or a good Filipino. They're teaching your child to be a good corporate citizen. Which means they will be addicted to technology and the desire to get along by getting along.
Concluding thought
“Give me the child for the first seven years, and I will give you the man.” No one really knows who first voiced that opinion. If you look it up, you will find it attributed to many people and organizations. That to me does not lessen the truth of the statement. Rather, it enhances the truth because it works across every culture and in every time I've ever seen or read about.
I think you'd have to be a fool not to be worried about what AI is doing to our humanity and the world that we live in. But if all you're worried about is losing your job, then all the worry in the world won't change what's happening.
